Damn, for some reason I thought I could distribute the w across the integers in the numerator. This would work if I was adding in the numerator right?

That is correct, but I got this one wrong. I thought A could solve it as well.

My reasoning was:

tv/w = t/w * v/w

And from 7t = 6w I could find

t/w = 6/7

and from v = 2w I could find

v/w = 2.

Can you tell me where I screwed up?


B. we have to find the value of tv/w not tv/ww. you did the second one.

Yes, you are right.
If this is what you mean:
(t+s)/w = t/w + s/w
This is equal.

eh, still did pretty decent. I got a 40 on this quant test. That's not to bad, huh?
