We have two pairs of facing walls. If he means that we only know one pair, instead of two pairs as I thought, then you are right.

what is the volume in cubic feet, of one floor of a rectangular building with width x meter, length y meters and height z meters?

1) x=1200/yz
2) the area of the cieling on this floor is 120 sq feet, and the area of each of the two facing walls is 100 sq.ft


i is sufficient.
ii is not sufficient. from ii, xy=120 and either yz=100 or xz=100. if we suppose yz=100, we do not know xz and if xz = 100, we do not know yz.

between two pairs of each facing walls, we only know one pair of each facing walls. this information is not sufficient to find the value of xyz.

This depends on how you parse this problem. If the buildings volume is xyz and there are multiple floors then E.
Otherwise, if the building has only 1 floor and thus the building then A.

guys...OA is A...but I went for D....I dont understand how in the second statement we can say XZ OR YZ is 100...I read it as XZ AND YZ are both 100!

Can someone pls explain why D is not sufficient!

Is this the exact wording from the question? Basically it was saying that each of ONE pair of facing walls is 100. There are Two pairs of facing walls, so the use of "THE two facing walls" is misleading.
