Hi, the correct idiom for "aim" is "with the aim of V-ing" (and not ""with the aim to V-infinitive). Is it the same for the term "goal" ? Is "with the goal to reduce" incorrect ?

That's correct.
"He went on GMATClub with the goal of improving his scores."
It's not a random idiom, though. That's saying what his goal is. In other words, that sentence works because goal is a noun, and describing it uses "of".
