A light hit my brain with the e-Gmat course

I found the Verbal Online course very helpful and very didactic, it provides a comprehensive and methodical way to approach and solve CR, SC and RC questions.
Besides if you have any doubt about any question or theme, you can write to e-gmat people and they will respond within few days with a detailed explanation.
I studied a lot by myself with GMAT official books and other books, but when I began to study with e-gmat Verbal Online course, it was like a light hit my brain and I began to understand how to solve the questions quickly and consciously. In the mocks I improved by 6 points (from 34 to 40) in the Verbal Section and I just studied for 45 days.
Unfortunately, I couldn't retake the GMAT because of the lack of time I had to apply. As an international student, I had to apply by the second round, so I decided to apply with a 640 GMAT score. However with that score I got admitted to the business school I wanted.

I am a non native student. I am having a experience of 9 years so 9 years break from books and study. I tried to study from various book in an asynchronous manner. I gave my first mock and disastrous to score V21. I score very bad . I again started hard from various books and the result was same. I did not score properly. Then I thought of buying a course and best I could figure out for non natives was e-gmat and it turns really a good decision. I have not taken a gmat yet but my score has been improved in mock gmat stupendously. Best thing about egmat is that it is visual course , so no more books. We can track the progress online though gradual short exams. Also once you finish the concept, you cannot move over to next one. I really find this course very useful who want to improve on SC and CR.

Having appeared for my GMAT(Q45, V35, 650) few years back, I was looking for a verbal course that would help me resume my preparation in a more systematic way. In my previous attempt, I got a little overwhelmed by everything I had to check or remember while I attempted the verbal section. I was quite relieved when I subscribed for e-GMAT's Verbal Online Course.
The flexibility it gave me to continue lessons whenever and where I got time aided me to speed up my preparation. In SC, instead on relying a long list of rules I had to remember, I now have a reliable consistent approach to tackle any question. The way concepts are broken down and the post assessment quizes helped me internalize the concepts and its application with clarity. The forum question and answers shared at the bottom of each quiz question are very useful when you are reviewing your approach and answers. I also found the detailed answers (videos / explanations) extremely useful in attempting the drills or OG quizzes. CR and RC Course also helped me identify specific points that I could incorporate in my approach and improvise. Recently, I have also started using the Scholarium question bank to aid me design and attempt targeted quizzes. I am working on building up the speed now that I feel comfortable with the content. While I appear for my mock exams in the coming weeks, I feel much more confident in what I have learned. The course beautifully cuts out all the noise and lays out the concepts required to be mastered in the most clear and concise way. I definitely recommend you to attend the free sessions or try out the free courses offered e-GMAT and see for yourself.

How to get the basics of Verbal right?

I have used numerous sources for my verbal preparation. Started with OG, went to Kaplan, Manhattan, Magoosh, Bible for CR prep. But somehow nothing worked. My Verbal score never improved by a huge chunk which left me worried as to how will I be able to score a good percentile in my GMAT. After reading lots of reviews of e-gmat, I gave it a shot. I started with free SC webinar taught by Payal. In those 2 hours and 4 questions, I could understand way more than what I couldn't in past few months. The basic concept to perform any question, how meaning is very important - these are few things which I never focussed upon. Hence I enrolled myself into Verbal class and saw my accuracy go up drastically. Another interesting feature is Scholaranium which details out strengths and weaknesses. I haven't seen such analytics before with any other preparation company.

For someone who is weak in verbal

Dear All,
As soon as I started my Gmat prep I realised that my quant skills were strong but I was completely lost in verbal. In verbal i was scoring well in CR but my accuracy was below 50% in SC. This brought my entire score down. I tried a few prep books but all in vain. Then I came across e-gmat verbal online prep, which was exactly the course I needed. This course is designed keeping a non-native in mind and is extremely beneficial for people like me who are largely clueless in SC.
This course goes into the basics of sentence building and effectively explains the common errors which gmat tests. This course also simplifies CR concepts and teaches you a knack to effectively read RC passages. In my earlier mock tests my verbal scores ranged from 27 to 35 but now I am consistently hitting 37-40.
Regards

I scored V38. During the test, I felt that my performance on SC isn't as good as I hoped.

I reflected on where I went wrong. I used to primarily look for grammatical errors and not meaning errors. And that strategy resulted in a lower accuracy when answering questions. (70-75%).

I realized that I needed a mindset change of not jumping the gun and start looking for errors, rather understand the meaning of the original sentence before attempting to eliminate incorrect responses.

Through all the online sessions, e-GMAT did a great job of highlighting the need to understand the meaning of sentences.

I really liked the split technique of breaking complex sentences into clauses. e-GMAT's step-by-step process of eliminating incorrect answers is the best aspect of their offering. It helped me standardize my approach while answering each & every question.

Verbal Scholarinium is a great tool that helped me test my learning and track my response time.

If you are a non-native and struggling with SC questions, e-GMAT's SC offering should be your first choice.

e-GMAT Verbal Online is a must to grasp the fundamentals of GMAT verbal. The course is very well structured and appropriately detailed. The post assessment quizzes are very good and the experts are very prompt in relying to question related queries. One can have his/her own approach to question solving but the concepts learned from this course will help in cracking all kinds of questions. GMAT is all about decision making and fundamentals rather than number of questions practiced. So If one wants to improve on verbal by internalizing the concepts then e-GMAT is the best course out there.

The place for Gmat Verbal

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Improvement 60 Points

Course e-GMAT Online Focused

Let me start with how my approach was towards SC questions in GMAT. Whenever i read an SC question I would jump directly to the options and choose the one that sounded right. But later on i realized except for a few blatantly framed wrong sentences all the remaining options sounded right. This is where e-Gmat helped me. Little did I know that there was a technique behind solving SC questions. The technique of breaking down sentences to easily comprehend what the sentence meant was plain amazing. The technique is also useful in reading comprehension passages if at all there were any long sentences. The critical Reasoning section also deserves a special mention. The flow diagram used to understand how the premise is related to the conclusion is definitely an eye-opener.The content (SC,RC &CR) is represented in a pictorial format. With this strategy the learning is easier and enjoyable too. The whole team works amazingly together. They conduct seminars regularly . Simply put, as a non native english speaker the technique one learns in e-Gmat is very helpful not only for Gmat but also for life.

As a non-native English speaker, I found it hard to crack the verbal section.

My accuracy was around 40% and even after going through the course content of various institutes I wasn't able to improve my accuracy.

That's when I came to know about e-GMAT. After few weeks of studying this course, I could see a significant improvement in my understanding of concepts and accuracy.

The way e-GMAT explains the concepts is engrossing and interactive and it makes solving questions pretty simple. The concepts are explained in a fairly easy manner and one can apply the same method in all types of questions whether simple or difficult. The basic approach in solving SC QUESTIONS remains the same.

Once I completed the concepts and exercises in the course, I stared solving problems from OG and I could achieve an accuracy level of 80 - 90% every time. I have recommended e-GMAT course to couple of my friends and would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone who is struggling with verbal.
