When I started out with my preparations for GMAT, I simply started by doing loose questions on the official GMAT website. I was not satisfied with my accuracy and so I signed up for Experts Global Complete GMAT Prep Online. Scoring 540 in my first diagnostic test, I realized I had a lot of work to do. The Student officer helped me map out a study plan that focused on my weak areas. The online course had plenty of material divided section wise to help you practice better. After the official guide, it’s one of the most reliable source of study material. It comes with 15 tests that are very close to the actual test. You need not look for other material as long as you strictly adhere to the study plan and material recommended by them.
Another unique resource was Experts Global shots – these are 2 minute brief videos summarizing important tips and techniques for each topic under verbal and quant section. This is particularly helpful for last minute brush up towards the end. My experience with Experts Global has been great and I highly recommend them.
After the official guide, one source you can rely on for your GMAT test is the EG's MUST HAVE. It comes with 15 tests along with some very useful materials for improving your score. These tests are very close to the actual test and you need not hop for other materials for preparations. You will also have access to materials which will help you prepare for the interviews. A detailed analysis report is generated at the end of the test and one should pay utmost attention the analysis provided by Experts Global simulation software. 15 tests are more than enough for GMAT preparation, but one should use them wisely and not in hurry. The price of subscribing to these tests is lower than other available simulators and it is worth the money.
I highly recommend experts global test series as it really helped me to improve my scores and it was as near to the real GMAT test as possible. My actual GMAT score (720) also lied between the scores that I used to get in these tests (680-740).
I joined their series to particularly improve my verbal ability section and the kind of questions that I was given were very refreshing. One usually ends up solving same RC questions (probably due to dearth of such questions) but experts global ensured to provide different passages in each of the tests (not similar to any of those found in Official GMAT series)
Hello People,
I tried experts Global 5-week crash course. They have divided their course into 3 phases.
1st Phase- video lessons and Few practice questions.
2nd Phase - Practice Questions (Low and Mid-level)
3rd Phase - Practice Questions (Difficult Level)
Next, They give 15 mocks test with it, which has a similar interface to that of Gmat.
For Quants, I would say they have got a good collection of questions and notes. Though few tricks will go above your head, other tricks will surely cover it up for you.
For Verbal, I would say they have got a good collection of questions and notes especially Sentence Correction. They have explained concepts very well for SC. Sc concept book is there which is very helfpul.
For critical reasoning, I would suggest that one should go for Powerscore Bible, as that's the best book for it and as far as practice is concerned you can use LSAT resource and official resource or Experts global resource but for Concept clarity hands down Powerscore.
As far as RC is concerned, for the initial phase, you can use experts global but once your game gets strong in RC by that I mean once your accuracy reaches 90% in official RC switch to Lsat. Start Solving Rc from LSAT to improve your game further review words and understand the tone of the passage and don't feel disheartened if your accuracy drops initially in LSAT RC's because accuracy tends to drop in initial stages in that part as they are longer and have heavy wordings but eventually you shall improve and your accuracy will set on 90% in the official.
For Mock Test: c'mon dude 15 mocks in $5O, that's a good deal. They have got good mocks there are only 2 problems. One 15 mocks 5 weeks so many questions are difficult to complete. Second, Their mocks are not adaptive for that matter no one's mocks are adaptive expect as far as scoring is concerned only Gmatprep can give you the closest score to you actual GMAT.
Overall Experts Global is a good deal for practice.
To prepare for my GMAT exam, I took the Expert Global tests. In 3K INR, I got 15 high value add tests. These tests helped me immensely to strengthen my weaker areas.
During my preparations, I took 2 to 3 tests every week and improved on the areas. They not only helped me to strengthen my weaker areas but also helped with time management. I had sufficient practice and in my real GMAT exam could manage my time well.
Also, they have very good analytics which helped me to analyses my performance very well.
I highly recommended every GMAT aspirant to take Expert Global's tests. They are of high value for the money.
I used the GMAT 700+ Quant course - this was what mainly needed improvement after my first attempt. I had a 690, and in my second attempt I scored a 750. At least a 40 point improvement was quant. Phase 1 and Phase 3 of the course is open to the user in this subscription. I used Phase 1 to learn concepts and Phase 3 to intensify the practise on advanced problems. The concepts are well explained, with all the time-saving methods to problems. I actually enjoyed learning! The focused practise exercises were helpful as well, coupled with full length practise tests. It didn't take too long to complete, about a month for quant alone. That said, I don't know about the verbal piece because I didn't take that as part of the package.
I was recommended Experts' Global by a friend who'd done pretty well on the GMAT himself. I was a little apprehensive because unlike most other test packs, this wasn't as expensive. I took the free mock and was instantly impressed. I signed up for the 15 full-length tests and I am very satisfied with the test prep. I found the Quant to be slightly harder than other test preps, but that helped me do the quant section well on the GMAT. Particularly liked the text and video explanations for each question. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking to practice mocks for GMAT. Practising mock tests from Experts' Global is a great way to supplement your GMAT prep.
I took Expert Global's test series. It was indeed very helpful. The test pattern and scoring was very accurate in comparison to the original exam. My score in the test series and the main exam had only a 10 marks difference. The SC Concept book and the GMAT shots videos also proved to be very helpful. My score increased from 620 to 700. The test series was pretty affordable, and the test experience was very close to actual GMAT. The best part was that I could also evaluate my AWA section, and that helped a lot. Amazing experience. Keep up the good work.
Dear GMAT-club community,
I would like to give credit to Experts' Global (EG) for my performance in GMAT.
Quant is one of my strong areas and I was consistently scoring 49-50 in that section in all mocks. I had no problems there.
However, verbal was a different story. In my initial mocks, my verbal scores ranged anywhere between 25 to 30; I used to run out of time and my %correct was terrible.
Two things that helped me improve and achieve my score -
1) Lots and lots of mocks - Repeated test taking gave me the confidence to endure and complete the 4 hour marathon (even if it meant I had to start a test in the middle of the night).
Having completed the entire EG test series (15 practise tests), the actual GMAT exam was just another mock for me (no seriously, although I had some jitters just before entering the exam hall, which was expected, but once I got started it was familiar territory!)
2) Strategies for each question type - The post-test answer discussion videos on Experts' Global are very useful.
I would urge anyone taking the EG test series to meticulously go through each video and make a note of the approach for every question type (even if you got the question right). The strategies laid out helped me crack CR and SC with relative ease.
If you're evaluating test series, I would highly recommend EG.
Wishing you the best with your GMAT Prep.
The test series resembles the actual test. One of the most realistic test series that i have given till date. Had taken the a couple of mock test series but expert global series was the closest to the actual test. Would recommend everyone to purchase the test series to get great practice. The level of the questions were very similar to the real gmat. The test series helped me get ample practice for the test. I attempted to give the tests every alternate day to get comfortable. Would recommend everyone to subscribe to this test series. It is a must have.
