Took the official GMAT practice test for the first time and scored 655 (DI:83, Quant:80, Verbal:85). I have about a decade of work experience and spent the last 8 years working in and around theme parks and hospitality (including operations, marketing, project coordination, and finance). Lastly, I have a non-MBA Master's degree in hospitality.
My overall goal is to grow in the entertainment space, with my post-MBA goal being consulting in Los Angeles. For this reason, I've aimed for top tier programs that seemingly have high amounts of alumni in consulting in LA.
Assuming I reach my goal of at least 685 in the GMAT, how competitive will I be? What can I focus on to better position myself?

I’m currently working at PwC, where I focus on data analytics and automation. In my role, I use tools like Power BI, Python, and Alteryx to work on business problems—mainly around inventory management and identifying cost-saving opportunities- working across developing tools for the cost saving opportunities using AI.
Through this experience, I’ve developed a strong interest in how data can drive better business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
Going forward, I’m aiming to transition into Product Management, where I can combine my analytical skills with a broader business perspective to build user-focused and scalable solutions.
I’m planning to pursue an MBA (targeting the Class of 2027 round 2 or '28 Round 1) to strengthen my understanding of business strategy, develop leadership skills, and gain global exposure.

I have completed my BTech in ECE. Then I have joined in IT company as a business analyst. Where I have work with data, requirement gathering and deliver the software within stipulated time. Also share status and demonstrate the software to the client before delivery. I worked as business analyst to develop software like learning management system, airbnb like software, hotel booking software, loyalty software, software like urban clap etc work for Indian and us client. I have worked as business analyst for more than 2 years. Now I am working in LPG and oil terminal. I am working at LPG bottling plant as planning office for 2.5 years so far. As planning office my responsibility is to manage and planning the operation, manage the logistics inside plant, manage all plant data regarding inventory of LPG bottling related and operations data. All the data should maintain in SAP. Always maintain the digital and physical inventory data. Also contact all stack holders. Also maintain the stock transfer data from plant to plant. Also prepare and share all related documents regarding logistics movement.
Achievement accademic:
School level one of bright student award at 10th standard at block level.
I prepared one body temperature and heart beat monitoring system in bachelor level.
Completion of vocational training on advanced telecommunication at BSNL(a govt of India PSU)
Achieve multiple time as best employee as business analyst in IT companies.
Completion of multiple online courses of analytics like power bi, python, tableau etc
Professional impact:
At IT client basically pay after completion of each milestone. So to complete the each milestone as early as possible or on time always save the resources of the company that I did multiple time.
After joining the bottling plant around 3-4 months later one emergency is raised that due to some issues so the industrial customer return many filled cylinder to plant it was happened on the last day of a month. As we need to close the inventory data at the last day of every month so that we can fire the SAP REPORT on the next day(1st of every month) to send the data to HQ. But as the filled cylinder return so we need to reverse all the issue documents and data in SAP and also count returned cylinder physically so that SAP data and physical inventory should be same. So I stepped in and the reverse process in SAP is complex so I did that with the help of SAP team and match the inventory that actually save the mismatch of the balance sheet also the inventory sheet. For LPG sector no monetary losses not happened but save the balance sheet and save lpg loss/gain calculation mismatch.
To manage inventory and instruct the operation team to execute carousel filling and manual filling(increase the manual filling status) simultaneously to reduce the delivery time to the customer and also reduce operation cost and also enhance the company reputation to deliver the LPG to the customer within the stipulated time.
To shape the everyday sales fulfilment coordinate the sales and operations effectively so that to fill and released the LPG cylinders within the shift time without extend the shift that reduces the extra extended shift costing that actually reduce the company cost.
