- Working experience : Public transportation sector(3Y-railroad planning, transit card system policy).
- Qualification : DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
- Goal : After joining a consulting firm, I'm considering specializing in Health-care or Mobility Industries.
Talking about the schools:
Kellogg (R1)- You can be a fit because of your collaboration, leadership, and clear career pivots; consulting outcomes are good. Your public-sector leadership and systems thinking can play well together. Risk: Ensure your consulting goals are specific (function + industry). Odds can be good with well-executed essays.
Wharton (R1)- You can be a fit because your quant rigour, policy, infrastructure exposure, mobility/transportation, and healthcare consulting can align with Wharton’s strengths. Risk: You must clearly articulate why consulting and why now, a non-business background requires a tight narrative.
MIT Sloan (R1)- Sloan likes systems thinkers, public impact, mobility, infrastructure, healthcare, and tech-policy intersections.
Other risks: Consulting goals are too broad. So, you have to be specific about the function- strategy, operations, transformation, or public-sector advisory? Firms: MBB vs Tier-2? Practice: healthcare delivery, payer/provider ops, mobility, infrastructure, smart cities?
“Why MBA now?” You must show the limit of policy roles for impact. And how consulting + MBA can accelerate scale, influence, and leadership. Why these schools’ ecosystems matter now.
If you'd like, you can also explore other schools such as INSEAD, Columbia, Berkeley Haas, or Yale.
Questions to sharpen your positioning:
1) Which consulting track do you prefer first: Healthcare or Mobility (and why)?
2) Are you targeting US-based consulting or open to Europe/Asia?
3) Any experience leading cross-ministry or multi-agency projects?
4) Long-term: public leadership, private sector, or global development?
We’d love to learn more about your academics, extracurriculars, work experience, and personal journey so we can provide a tailored profile evaluation and honest school assessment. Feel free to book a profile evaluation session.
