Three Tips for an Effective “Biggest Failure” Essay

When an admissions packet asks you to write about your "biggest failure" it can feel like a trap. After all, isn't your application supposed to show you as a successful, effective, and competent person? Won't writing about failure cast you in the wrong light? The truth is that if you handle this essay incorrectly, it ABSOLUTELY WILL cast you in the wrong light. But, if you take the right approach, you can come across as thoughtful, humble, self-aware, and also someone with grit and persistence.
