Post-MBA I am planning to start a holding company in my country such as Berkshire Hathaway which will invest in mix of private and public companies(mostly private) with moderate involvement in company's activities and operations (The company will mostly serve as adviser to portfolio companies, possibly helping some of the with the IPO but definitely not changing the whole management or strategy). Is this model closer to Investment Management, Private Equity or Diversified Financial Services? I would really appreciate your advice.
