Hi. So I have a general idea of what consulting companies do and what profiles the companies offer the MBA's from top B-Schools. However, I'd like to know more, much more about this whole career profile in a typical consulting company such as McKinsey.
What kind of jobs do they offer the MBA's from top B-Schools.
What is the career profile like?
What are the functions of the job both broadly and specifically?
Designations and required year-wise experience for each designation etc.
Career graph post-MBA in a top consulting company.
What is the work environment like?
What are the networking opportunities like?
pardon my ignorance but is there anything like 'financial consulting'? Does it belong to the world of 'finance' or 'consulting/strategy'? Any examples of a few companies which employ such people? The reason I ask this is because I want to know whether my participation in the CFA program can be useful in a post-MBA job in a consulting company?
Well, pretty much just about everything there is to know. Thanks in advance.
