Hi everyone,

I am interested to know different perspectives and thoughts on which MBA - 1 year/2 year program to choose after 7 years of experience in Information Security Consulting. I am currently working at a Big 4 (Offices of the US) in Third-Party Risk Management primarily on cyber risk. I am inclined towards management consulting now after having experience in client-facing roles of different geographies - US, UK, Baltics, working across different industries.

Kindly also suggest which schools to apply to as well with the rationale of the suggestion.

Hi avirathsharma,

The decision between a one-year and two-year MBA is ultimately determined by your professional ambitions and what you want to achieve through the MBA program aside from career advancement and higher pay. Both one-year and two-year MBA programs offer advantages. A two-year program is perhaps better suited to those searching for a slower-paced experience with time to decide out their future. If you want to change careers, a two-year MBA is the finest option. A one-Year MBA program, on the other hand, is the appropriate choice if you want to move to a leadership role, expand your experience, and take advantage of the different electives that business school has to offer. Career Goals and Previous Undergraduate Experience are the two main deciding factors.
