Hey everyone!
So my bachelor's was more about partying and trying to get job experience in different fields than about getting grades. I ended up getting a 1.92 CGPA. I did a major in economics, a minor in mathematics and a minor in statistics.
After my graduation, I went abroad and started working in technology. Currently, I work for strategy at a big technology company. When I have 5 years of experience, hopefully I will also be a team lead by then and have a decent GMAT score, do you think it will be realistic for me to get into an MBA program? I am thinking of Sauder (UBC).
Can languages increase admission chances? I am currently learning Chinese + French, my native ones are Russian, Ukrainian and English. Should I do something for an NGO to increase my chances potentially?
I will be applying in 2-3 years from now, but trying to get some early research on whether I have the chance.

Well, I don't think you have to worry about your GPA after having 5 years of work ex. Surely GPA plays a role in admission criteria but if you have other substantial inputs i think it will push forward your application. Till then you can work on your Profile as well as score. Multi linguistic will add on a brownie point in your application and if you are thinking about volunteering, definitely go after that. Adcom does like students working in favor of society.
Plus with a decent score to cover your GPA will definitely land you in a good college

There are various criteria, so you shouldn't be worried about your GPA so much. Improving your current profile is crucial, for example, extracurricular activities, GMAT score, having deep reflection for your best essay, etc. My GPA is 2.79, not better than you so much, but I'm in my preparation way. Be confident, and good luck, bro!
