Can someone help me out with ideas for this question? Obviously I have some ideas, I just don't want to sound too generic!

"Explain how you will contribute both as a student and subsequently as an alum to the Graduate School of Business community. What importance do you place on this contribution and what qualities do you possess that will make you effective in these roles?"

This is a leadership question in disguise. Talk about the leadership roles you'll take. The rest of the essay will come from that.

No. Its not just about leadership. Leadership is one aspect. Teamwork is another. Ethics is a third. Analytical skills or quantative rigor is another.

ask yourself, does a leader deal with teamwork, ethics, and analytics?

I agree with you -- my point is that if you just say leadership, people may miss on these critical elements and just focus on how they "manage". People confuse leadership and management all the time.
