A carpenter constructed a rectangular sandbox with a capacity of 10 cubic feet. If the carpenter were to make a similiar sandbox twice as long, twice as wide, and twice as high as the first sandbox, what would be the capacity, in cubic feet, of the second sandbox?
A. 20
B. 40
C. 60
D. 80
E. 100
Please explain how you got your answer and timing. If you can add a jpeg of your work, that would also be great.

Volume equals LWH
LWH=10
Next box= 2L2W2H or 8LWH. We know that LWH=10 therefore 10x8=80

1) V = a^3 = 10
a = cube root 10
2) 2*cube root 10 * 2*cube root 10* 2*cube root 10 = 80.
P.S> Actually, I have a shortcut for this. For example, if a cube has a side 1m, it's volume = 1m^2. But if a cube side increased twise, the unswer will be 8 m^2. Here the same analogy gave me 2 sec. to find the answer without calculations =)
