Four months ago, I took a cold mock test (official test #1) and scored 455 (DI 69, Q71, V78)

If it's been 4 months since the cold mock, consider taking another sometime this week to get a sense where you currently stand (including on the individual sections). Try to simulate exam conditions as close as possible. If you feel it takes you a bit of time to warm up, doing a few questions beforehand could be helpful as well (i.e. not letting the first questions on the day be those of the mock).

How to score high on the GMAT. Why solving approach is important.

Yes, improving from 455 to 615–625 is challenging but definitely possible with consistent effort. You're on the right track by focusing on Quant with TTP and starting OG/GMAT Ninja for DI and Verbal. Stick to your 10–15 hours per week, focus on reviewing mistakes, and take full-length mocks regularly. Many people have made similar jumps — stay disciplined, and you can get there!

Definitely doable. Currently there is a lot of "low-hanging fruit" that you can benefit off of by getting your Quant fundamentals down.

You can focus on Quant and DI first and get them both to 78, and this will put you at a 565 composite. From there, it starts getting more difficult to improve, but your next "wall" will be at 80 for each section. Then, see which section you enjoy doing more (it could be Verbal for you) and focus on getting that to just an 82, and that will get you your target score.

That’s a great breakdown — totally agree that building solid Quant and DI fundamentals early on is key. I’ve found that once you cross the 78–80 range, the margin for error shrinks a lot, so reviewing mistakes and tracking weak areas becomes super important.

The difference between a cold mock and your target score is not very drastic here. Sometimes, the cold mock is not a correct reflection also. A refresher of the topics may help you improve greatly and help you achieve the score you are targeting.

You have time till August, which is ample for the score range you are targeting. Just proceed with a strategic approach.

All the best!

You've definitely got the time to hit your target score!

Keep focusing on identifying your gaps in test taking skills (reasoning approach) within each section. That's where the biggest score leaps come from once you have a decent / solid conceptual understanding.

It's probably time for you to take another practice test. That 455 may be creating an artificially high jump requirement in your mind -- you might already be much closer to your target and you'll be able to approach it with less stress.

A lot of great advice shared by others already. I would emphasise increasing practice test frequency in exam simulated environment.

Hope you get your target score! All the best

Four months ago, I took a cold mock test (official test #1) and scored 455 (DI 69, Q71, V78).

Since then, I’ve been focusing on Quant using TTP, and just last week, I started practicing with the OG and watching GMAT Ninja videos for DI and Verbal.

I’m planning to keep practicing and take all the mock tests until the end of August, studying around 10 to 15 hours per week.

Do you think it’s realistically possible to reach a 615–625 score (around 70%) by then? I’ve read that such a big improvement is nearly impossible, but I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts or experiences.

I'd love to see what's going on. Can you paste in a screenshot of your TTP analytics page?
