What did you smoke before the test?

WOW. My word.
Most people, myself included, are sweating just finish clicking the questions before the clock runs out.
That's very impressive.

There is no reason for you to retake however - sorry to disappoint you. Once you cross 760 territory, there is not really any reason to retake. You are in the top 1% of all test-takers and the admission decision will not be based on the score but other qualities of your application. The only reason to retake would be if you are really antsy and eager but chances are you will be overly focused on something and will not get the same score since getting a 770 likely involved making 2-3 mistakes on each section more or less so just a slight distraction and you will be at 760 or 740. Not a whole lot of reasons to sink $300 if you ask me.

But my word! What an amazing result!
What did you use to prep by the way? Just a dictionary and an old math book? :upsidedown

P.S. Thank you for verifying your score :please:

I found the real exam relatively easy. I ended up having around 6 minutes left after last question on verbal and 11-12 minutes on quant.
Is this a problem do you think?

I have a tendency to do do exam fast as I only do the calculations in my head. I can imagine most of you say it’s a mistake, but I trust in my quick maths lol. Penning it out just make me confused and I end up spending a lot of time,

Gratz on the high score. May be worth researching whether a 790 would make a meaningful difference to the success of your apps. A 770 is a stellar score many would be more than happy with. Perhaps write a profile review on gmatclub.

HI DKHT98,

Before making the decision on whether to retake, I agree that it would be helpful to chat with an admissions consultant here on GMAT club. If, after having that discussion, you still plan to move forward with GMAT, please feel free to reach back out, and I can give you some advice.
