1st Mock test(670 Q47 V35) - Exam in 10 days

Hi all,

I just did my first mock test (GMAT Official mock) yesterday and got 670 (Q47 V35). It's very short of my target of hitting 720+, but it gives me comfort that I am in the right direction.

I had to rush this because I have my exam scheduled for 31st May which is 10 days away.

So far I have covered the syllabus and have a fair understanding of all the topics (except IR and AWA). I have done the following OG test questions. and my timing is pretty decent as I took less than 2min per question for most of the questions.

SC - sub 600 25Q 75% correct, 600+ 25Q 52% correct
CR - sub 600 15Q 80% correct, 600+ 15Q 66% correct
Algebra - sub 600 53Q 82% correct 
Arithmetic - sub 600 80Q 69% correct 
Geometry - sub 600 37Q 78% correct
Statistics - sub 600 33Q 81% correct

Now, for my 10-day plan to elevate my score higher, I plan to tackle strictly 600+ problems (gmatclub quiz for V and crackverbal for quant). If anyone got other good recommendations, I will appreciate any pointers.

May want to include Official questions and another Official Mock (perhaps 2) into your schedule before your exam.

For Verbal, becoming familiar with how RC INFERENCE questions work and memorizing commonly tested SC idioms could be helpful. If time management is an issue, consider using time markers.

To get to your goal, you should shoot for at least the following accuracies in Verbal:

E - close to 100%

M - 90%+

H - 70%+

Getting all or close to all the medium Verbal questions on your GMAT correct is going to be key for achieving your Verbal score goal.

1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) Is this the ONLY CAT/mock that you have taken or the first Official CAT? If there were others, then on what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

I have kept the duration of studying as 3 month. starting in mid of feb 23.going forward i am completely dedicating all my time to gmat so should be able to get atleast 48 hours till exam

2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
I have used Crackverbal mostly for the syllabus and theory. i have taken summary notes from gmat club for revision. I took the one of two official gmat mock test on saturday.

3) Is this the ONLY CAT/mock that you have taken or the first Official CAT? If there were others, then on what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
This is the only Gmat mock test i have taken.

4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
I plan to do my research on B school in month of June and apply when applications are open.
