I took my 1st practice test this morning. Ridiculous, I must say.
I scored a 590 (q:35 v:34). Actually, I felt I did really poorly for some reason. I missed stupid questions. I ended up having nearly 20 minutes left on both portions when I finished the questions. Maybe the conditions weren't great. I woke up at 9, took the test at 9:30...didn't eat anything. I actually got hungry during the verbal...
I am currently scheduled to take the exam in 2 weeks. To be honest, I should have taken the GMAT about a month ago. I was actually doing better w/ the questions and practice. During the month period of July, things got busy w/ work, a lot of personal stuff that was stressful to tend to. I basically didn't study all that much last month. Honestly, these last 2 weeks I can't even concentrate when studying so maybe I'm burnt out.
So I'm contemplating re-scheduling the GMAT for maybe end of November. I can probably make it to most R2 deadlines and maybe a R3. Honestly, I don't mind applying for Fall 2009, but of course 2008 is preferable.
September is going to be pretty bad as I have work training out-of-state for 2 weeks, but when I return I plan on getting some math tutoring.
Then maybe take end of Nov. Do you think that's realistic to raise my score to ~ 690 (abt 100 increase) in 2 months?
If I don't take it in Nov, then pretty much I won't have a chance until Feb-Mar 2008 to take it.
