I am starting my gmat prep. and today did the diagonistic test on kaplan 2004 cd .My score was 550. I am out of touch of high school maths and above all doing calculations mentally, since all the time I am using spreadsheets and calculator.
My weak area is geometry and algebra. I have two months before I appear for the real test. My target is anything above 650 is good enough.
I am looking for a Masters in Finance from Roterdam / bocconi/LBS.I already have three professional certifications in accounting and finance along with eight years of work exp. and therefore anything above 650 should see me through atleat one of these schools.
how should I start my prepration and can I achieve my target score.I will do anything to get to it !!!!!!!!!.

It is ok to have 550 on the start. Remember that when you consider Kaplan's score you should add 100 points on average as its scores differ from those by ETS.

The Kaplan CD-ROM is notrious for giving people outrageously low scores. Many people find that they get 500s on Kaplan but wind up getting 700s scores on Power Prep and the real test!
So don't worry too much. It sounds like you are on your way to a 650+ score. Just use Kaplan as a source of practice questions and ignore the scores.
