Word of advice would be to narrow your school list or hope you have more than 2 recommenders or if not, they are aware of the amount of work they will have to do. Also you may burn them out and they may start writing lackluster recommendations.

Not to mention burning yourself out. You should at least knock off 2 schools off the list, prefferable knock off 3-4.

My suggestion would be apply to:

(Harvard or Stanford pick one) , Wharton, Columbia, Uchicago, NYU, and add one more based on location preference

I was trying to reach out to people who are already applying. However If you are planning to apply for Fall 2009 I dont think it would be a bad Idea to start attending Information sessions and events. I think there is a really good event on August 5th with all the top schools participating. This can be a great start.

https://www.alumniconnections.com/olc/pub/UPN/events/event_order.cgi?tmpl=events&event=2161570

Event Title: MBA Admissions Panel - New York City

Date: Aug 5, 2008
Time: 6:15PM - 9:30PM ET
Location: Grand Hyatt New York
109 East 42nd Street at Grand Central Terminal
New York, NY 10017

Anyone else attending ???

I'll try to get there if the work lets me....
Already reserved a spot.
But ya, I am up for forming a group for helping out and stuff... sounds like a good idea.
Oh, and I am on the other side of the bridge in NY/NJ area... heh

Hey Gautham,

I am in NY area, did you get in to any B-School yet? IF so what school? What did you get in GMAT, and how much work experience do you have.

Also I am relatively young. Only 26 with 2 years of experience in investment banking. Do you think that is sufficient?
