It's very frustrating. Being waitlisted once is bad...being waitlisted two rounds in a row is awful. Sorry, you weren't good enough in R1, maybe you'd like to stay in for R2? Oh, yeah, you're not good enough for R2 either, maybe you'd like to wait for R3? Sure, I know you applied back in November, but May is only two months away!

Can't you just accept at Wake and see what happens with the WL? Or would it be unethical to bail on them after accepting?

Definitely need to weigh in on this group. How nice of Kellogg to WL me today instead of Monday so that in case Wharton dings me tomorrow I can maintain an uninterrupted status of 'agonizing on a top 5 schools waitlist'.

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster...this forum has been very informative, so thanx!

I should join the club, after getting Waitlisted by the third school yesterday! It´s really frustrating

1) HBS - Rd1
2) Wharton - Rd
3) Kellogg - 24/3

-Dinged at Stanford Rd 1

-Waiting for Columbia...

At least I have been accepted to another great school (Tuck-Nov Rd)...

I am waitlisted at Duke for round 2. This is the only school I applied to. So this is definitely frustrating for me. I am going to send my update letter to the admission office regarding my recent assignment at work.

At least when UCLA waitlisted me the first time, they gave me a date for their next letter. I wasn't so lucky for the second waitlisting!

Edit: OK, so the date is June 4 - they hid it in the downloadable waitlist guidelines this time.

It's 2.15 pm now, just after a quick lunch at McDonald's...

Sitting there, realizing that chance are, I'm going to be dinged off the waitlist...

Another couple more of days to go until 31 March, and I realize, it's probably a ding or a further waitlist...

It's this sinking feeling of frustration at the whole process.

:x

It's depressing to know that I had to wait an extra 3 months to get dinged. How cruel is that?

I certainly could, though I don't want to do that. The sense of being wanted is a powerful one, so I've decided on Wake. I'm going to withdraw from the WL at UNC and Georgetown, because it doesn't matter if I eventually get in (and knowing I won't get scholarship money.)
