err...I got nothing from them :)

It could be different year to year so I don't want to make people more nervous as they already are but in my case it was kinda alphabetical.

Hi I did get called on Friday night last year...seemed just like yesterday huh

jzd - Were you one of the extra special people to get an additional scholarship or do you think he was just going in alphabetic order?

I found it here:

lgo.mit.edu/alumni_newsletter

Make sure you are reading the March 2011 newsletter.

PS. Did anyone apply via a school of engineering and the applyweb.com application? Please post if you did.

Hi, everyone had to apply online through applyweb, so I’m not sure what you’re talking about there. However, I did apply to LGO via engineering (ESD) and was surprised in January during InterviewFest to see that the vast majority of people had applied through Sloan. The MBA part not the engineering degree was the bonus for me so I wanted to show that in my app.

Do you think that matters as far as ease of getting in, or did you do it this way, too? Just wondering why you asked.

Ok time to start freaking out

***runs around room***

From the source directly: there are 56 admissions offers this year.

Now this is speculation: ~100 people interviewed on Interviewfest, +20 or so that interviewed in the past couple of weeks in one way or another?

Best of luck!

maybe now is a good time to just go do something else, take our mind off the matter for a couple days. freak out or not, decisions have been made, and it's not like a life or death thing. good luck but take it easy :-) ~~
I don't know if I can take it easy. I can't even concentrate on work! The worst part is that I'm flying to Germany for a week, tomorrow, so even if they do call me I'll be on a flight and won't know. :(

Have a good time in Germany. Is there a way to log in your voicemail from abroad? I'm sure they'll leave a message.

Thanks! I sure hope they leave a message....which I will figure out a way to get. I should change my greeting to "Hi, I can't come to the phone because I'm in Germany....please leave a message ESPECIALLY if you're from MIT." hah.

So glad I found this thread...... This last week I woke up in sweat and was positive that all the admissions were sent out weeks ago and there was no longer any hope. So I started looking for all the blogs of people that got accepted, and low and behold there is still some hope (at least for a couple days). I can't believe they wait this long to send their admission decisions. I thought that the Geneva Convention prevented this sort of torture.........

Thanks Thrive. The reason why I asked was that I applied to LGO through a school of engineering as well, but yesterday afternoon I got an e-mail saying my admissions decision for this school of engineering was available online at the applyweb.com website. When I did log in, it informed me that I was rejected from the school of engineering I applied to.

LOL I have started to think I have already been dinged. I wonder if anyone else got such a message/e-mail.

Gurakshun, sorry to hear about the applyweb email :(

Guys, I applied through the School of Engineering to the LGO Program. Based on Gurakshan's message, I checked the ApplyWeb (Review Activity) status and it simply states: Payment accepted, data sent, received, and confirmed.

The interesting part for folks who have applied through the School of Engineering is that if not accepted by LGO, some Engineering departments will consider them for the SM program but others may not. Jane Deutsch mentioned that in one of her articles dated November 16, 2010 on the LGO Blogs.

Wishing everyone the very best as the next few days unfold!
