This is very strange. I feel that it doesn't make sense to increase the batch size of finance program in current macro environment.
I guess adcom anticipates some people will back out even after paying initial commitment fee.

Guys what do you think about this:

Late applications for the full-time MiF (August 2012 intake)We will continue to accept applications after the final deadline, as we expect to make a few offers to strong applicants who apply after the 01 May 2012 deadline.
If you wish to apply, you should satisfy all the following criteria:

You should have at least three years' relevant finance work experience You should have a GMAT score of at least 660 (with a verbal score of at least 30 and a quantitative score of at least 40); a higher score will of course add extra weight to an application. You cannot submit a late application without a GMAT score You must be able to leave your current employment and be on campus by 20 August 2012.

I think that Deeraj is right. It is possible that, given the delays with getting the HSBC loans in place, they may be concerned that accepted students will drop out, leaving room for others to come in.

LBS2130, Laman probably was giving the count of MiF 2013 profiles from the LBS portal. That is the number of people who have accepted their place or have an offer outstanding with the deadline at a future time (e.g., on 1 June). This number is now 127 by my count.

After a long wait of 2.5 months since applying I have been told that I am on the waitlist. Any other waitlisted candidates out there?

Not really sure how much does the waitlist move...I suppose its a matter of chance.

Hi all... I applied post the R5 deadline (late!) but have managed to score an interview...from the looks of this forum, MiF intake seems to be full .... Not sure how this places my chances.... I'm Indian by origin but have been studying and working in Singapore for the last 9 years ....

Had one of the toughest interviews of my life.... Got very heavily involved into my resume and the deals I had done....not once was I asked anything my goals, London, mif or anything that the ad on indicated that would be tested...

Don't think I'll make it..a managing director for the worlds foremost SWFs....asked me questions that were above my pay grade...

Irrespective of the outcome....does anyone think I should give feedback to the school? Was caught completely off guard.

Is it possible/realistic to pursue a PhD Finance from LBS after the MiF? These guys do have a caveat on their site saying that they do not recommend. But has anyone done that before ?
