Hi all,
Thanks in advance for reading my post. I like most of you have been a fighter in this GMAT test. I studied for 3 months previous time and took kaplan program and scored a mere 420. I am fortunate to find this website to be able to readup and learn from fellow classmates . Previously timing was a big issue for me as i was leaving 6-7 problems behind. Now , I retook the test this month and scored 460 with AWA rating of 4.0 and higher in Verbal (25 ) and score of 29 in Math. However Verbal percentage is higher than Math. I feel like i put lots of effort into GMAT for this result. I was not feeling good after seeing the score on the test day. However , took a positive tone again to figure out next steps.
I called up Rutger (closer to home) and they will accept people with 500 and not 460 so again i missed the opportunity with mere 40 points. My wife is suggesting i go on do something else and not an MBA but it feels to me that I really want to get business education. I went to top school for Undergrad (Univ of Michigan) and do know the value of quality education..
Let me put littlebit about my study , Below are the books i used
OG 10
->Finished all math sections
->Finished SC
->Finished all CR
-> Didn't finish all DS & RC
Sentence Correction
->Manhatten SC
->

Critical Reasoning
->

-> Princeton Review
I did get an
error log and was logging errors and reviewing them. I was also doing 10 questions per topic each day to practice all the topics on the GMAT.
In terms of practice test, I took 4-5 practice tests, Here is what i recall the scores. I only practised from GMAT Prep .
1) GMATPrep 1st Attempt 470
2) GMATPrep final Attempt 510
I was studying religiously and did put off my social life.. I would say probably 1 hour per weekday and 4-5 hours over the weekend for last 2 months..
Please critique my stategy so i can overcome this allmighty EXAM.
