For Quant, start by going through the topic notes/theory/strategy, and then jump into some easy questions. If you’re getting around 90% right and within time, that’s a good sign to move on to medium, then eventually hard questions. The key is to build a solid foundation first.

While solving, make sure to check out how others have approached the same questions. Sometimes you’ll pick up a cool shortcut, a different perspective, or even just a clearer way to understand the theory. It helps reinforce what you’ve learned.

Once you’re consistently hitting 90% accuracy with easy questions, start working on medium-level ones and begin building your error log. Just a heads up — the error log can grow super fast in the beginning, so I’d suggest starting it once you’re reasonably comfortable with a topic. That way it won’t feel too overwhelming.

All the best, you got this!

That’s some real good advice - thank you very much. So sticking to TTP would be your way to go? Because I got the feeling that in some cases e.g GMAT Basics in the TTP course, which can be in part compared to values/orders/factors of the official skill group, the questions are not really comparable to official mock questions. In the Forum here, the questions seem much more comparable. Or am I just wrong in this perception?

Once more thank you for the response - I highly appreciate the support from everyone here!

TTP (especially quant) is great for foundation building, has a pretty good structure and depth. The questions are also good quality but you will need to supplement with some high level questions on GmatClub to learn more on application and take it up a notch, like you observed.

Quant:

From what I experienced for now, by far my weakest topic (by a mile).

Fair to say including/practicing with official questions (e.g. from the Official-Guide 2025-2026) would be a solid choice. Consider going through some prep journey posts by people who've scored well on Quant/improved their Quant scores. You could see what they did/used and any tips they may have shared.

Hi Phil2804,

I'm happy to help. To start, I'd love to see what is going on with TTP. Can you paste in a screenshot of your TTP analytics page? Once I see that data, we can take things from there.

Hi Scott,

thank you very much for your help and excuse my late response. Unfortunately, I am not able to upload any screenshots, as the Forum webpage is always crashing when trying. Therefore, I sent you multiple screenshots via direct chat - hope that is okay!
My approach for the coming days: Chapter Tests to identify strenghts and weaknesses, re-visit Chapters of my weaknesses, and start to work with GMAT Club examples for my strenghts (from <500 upwards). Each mistake from GMAT Club will be tagged in an Excel to get an overview and understanding of my mistake.

Is this a solid approach? Looking forward to hear your expertise.

Kind regards
Philipp

Not really, only thing I could do is reach out to you via live support. But anything else is not possible, as I am a subscriber of the "Flexible Prep" package.
