Good morning guys!
I've noticed a trend on my GMATPrep Exam Statistics Report. I'm attaching the print to help clarify what I'm talking about.
So, in the image, there are split percentiles for CR, RC, and SC.
In this particular test in RC, I've got only 2 wrong questions out of 13. Questions $3 and #9, and got 68th percentile in RC alone.
On the other hand with 2/11 wrong in CR(#7 and #22), and got 88th percentile in CR alone.
In other words, I answered correctly to 84,6% of RC questions and 82% of CR questions and got 68th and 88th percentiles, respectively.
I searched what if scenarios thread and other discussions, and couldn't find explanation on this matter.
My guesses are:
a) 2 RC mistakes in the first part of the test compared to 1 CR mistake in the first part?
b) People are better on RC and thus the percentiles are harder to "climb"?
c) A bit of the two?
Anyone could help me undertand it? How does the algorithm works within question types inside a given section of the exam? Does the logic in answering correctly to get harder and more valuable questions applies to RC? Does it applies to the questions inside RC from the same passage? (For instance, if I get wrong the first reading comprehension in the passage, am I jeopardizing the whole passage, and, therefore, the whole RC score?) Etc.
I'm a non native English speaker aiming at V40+ and taking the exam on August 10th. Any help is welcome.
