Hi. I have learned a great deal during the few weeks I've been on this site. Thanks to all who share their tips and experiences. I am a non-traditional student (finished MBA in 1992!) applying to Phd programs. I have to take the GMAT much earlier than I anticipated for two of the programs to which I am applying and I only have three weeks left. I have the
MGMAT books and have began working my way through the first of them. I am focusing on quant, as I am having to essentially re-learn things from 20+ years ago.
I took the GMAT Prep test today and scored Q31, V38 (570). I know this is not completely indicative of how I might do on the actual test, but I'd like to at least be at 650-670 on the practice test going into the actual test on 12/18. My mistakes were pretty clear to me and I think I'll be stronger after finishing the
MGMAT books.
I work full time, teach at a university and have a child. I can't dedicate 40 hours a week between now and 12/18. However, I do want to consider a short online course or one-day workshop. Does anyone have suggestions on a course that can make a difference in this short time? Has anyone ever done private tutoring with Manhattan?
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!
