I have been prepping for GMAT FE for about 3 months now.
I have covered all the quant topics and videos (
magoosh quant videos).
On the OG sectional qs: I have high accuracy and time control. (85-95%)
But every time I attempt OG Mocks, My score is so bad:
Mock 1: 595 (DI 77, Q81, V81)
Mock 2: 615 (DI 78, Q83, V80)
Mock 3: 555 (DI 75, Q77, V80))
I take exams in the order: DI, Quant, break, Verbal.
But I feel my time management is HORRIBLE in each section.
I always end up
marking the last 4-5 questions randomly coz I am running short of time.
Out of these 3 sections I have noticed:
DI: some MSR and two-part analysis qs types are very time-consuming and a lil random. I find managing time is difficult in this section overall.
Quant: I get the first 10 qs right, but I spend like 8 min on one qs in the middle and lose time for the second half, I am working on these qs types, whether to skip or find a better way, but this is the pattern. I get hell-bent on solving a solving in the middle (Coz I feel it is doable) and lose time
Verbal: CR is time-consuming, I spend an average of 2.5-3 min on them and end up not having time for the last 4-5 qs. But I don't know where I can save time here, or else I feel I will trade off accuracy.
When I am revisiting the questions, I can solve all of them, it is that in the full-length exam time, I don't get the time for it.
But ironically when I solve sectional practice tests, I solve 20 qs in 45 minutes, So, I don't understand why this isn't translating into mocks.
I am finding it very demotivating, that I cannot improve my score.
Can you please help me on this front?
I am aiming for 700+ but my mocks scores are nowhere close to it and I have a month to prep.
