Hi I am 34 year old with almost 10 years of work experience . already an engineer and MBA by qualification (from India).

With my personal aspirations in mind , I am thinking of taking GMAT and pursuing MBA from one of the top international B schools

Is it the right age to get into MBA..Will The top B schools accept me for their regular MBA program.

Hello gurjeetss ... welcome to the community.

Although your age is at the higher side of the curve, it all depends on your overall profile and application.

Some of the points I would think :
1. Why MBA now ?
2. Why a second MBA ?
3. How this particular MBA would help to realize my dreams ?
4. Alternative Plans.

Another point : Be sure to stress on Why(s) & How(s) {reasons} than What(s) {information}.

Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the response..

In my mind I think I have the answers to the above questions quite clear. But wanted to be sure about the target B Schools .

Hi gurjeetss,

Thank you for your post. While you are on the older end of the admitted applicant spectrum, there is still an opportunity for you to be admitted to a regular, 2-year MBA program. That said, you have to make clear in your application why a second MBA makes sense for you after 10-years of work experience (it is difficult for us to provide detailed information on limited information). The longer you wait, the more difficult it will be to get an offer of admission, so I do recommend you apply for 2020 intake (the application year 2019-2020).

Happy to continue the conversation. If interested, fill out this form to coordinate a call.

Good luck!
