(36³ + 36)/36 = 36³/36 + 36/36
= 36² + 1
= some number ending in 6 + 1
= some number ending in 7

Answer: C (since it's the only answer that has 7 as its units digit)

Cheers,
Brent

$$(36^3 + 36)/36$$
= $$[36(36^2 + 1)]/36$$
= $$36^2 + 1$$
We know that when the units digit of the base is $$6$$ and the exponent is $$2$$, then the unit digit of the square of the base will also be $$6$$.
hence, the unit digit of $$(36^2 + 1)$$ will be $$7$$ (i.e. $$6 + 1$$).
Looking at the answer choices, we observe that only answer choice C has $$7$$ in the units digit.
The correct answer, therefore, is C
