(36³ + 36)/36 = 36³/36 + 36/36
= 36² + 1
= some number ending in 6 + 1
= some number ending in 7

Answer: C (since it's the only answer that has 7 as its units digit)

Cheers,
Brent

\((36^3 + 36)/36\)
= \([36(36^2 + 1)]/36\)
= \(36^2 + 1\)
We know that when the units digit of the base is \(6\) and the exponent is \(2\), then the unit digit of the square of the base will also be \(6\).
hence, the unit digit of \((36^2 + 1)\) will be \(7\) (i.e. \(6 + 1\)).
Looking at the answer choices, we observe that only answer choice C has \(7\) in the units digit.
The correct answer, therefore, is C

The equation can be written as 36*(36^2+1)/36= 36^2+1
Now, without performing any calculation, we know that the unit digit of any no. ending in 6 is 6.
and since we have to add 1 to the no., the final no. will be having 7 as unit's digit. Thus, 1297,the only option.

\(\frac{(36^3 + 36)}{36}\)

\(= \frac{36(36^2 + 1 )}{36}\)

\(= (36^2 + 1 )\)

Now, we don't even need to calculate, the units digit of 36^2 will be 6 add 1 to it, units digit will be 7 , Among the given options only (C) fits in perfectly, hence Answer must be (C)
