hi everyone,
there are two weeks of full time preparation left until the day of my exam.
to get the most out of it, i would be really happy to hear your suggestions to improve my score from 560 (Q42/V25) to 600.
my problems / weak areas are especially the verbal part and the timing of both verbal and quant.
in verbal, i have really big problems with reading comprehension questions. i am not able to grasp the complex passages, especially under timed conditions.
as i just need a score of 600, my verbal strategy so far was to guess on RC questions and take the time for SC and CR questions, which i am more likely to solve with a higher accuracy, especially with the additional time i saved by skipping the RC's. i don't think that i have a chance to improve my RC skills within 2 weeks, at least not without hurting the rest of the verbal section. it would be great to hear your recommendation, how i can improve my verbal score, given these conditions.
my general problem, especially on quant section, is the timing. in my last practice exam, i had to guess on questions 28-36 and missed question 37.
can u recommend any strategies to manage that? i noticed that i had a good accuracy on the first 27 questions, but as i had to start to guess i had the last 10 questions wrong in a row. would it maybe be better to guess on single questions in the middle of the test, to avoid guessing on several questions in a row at the end?
where do you think is it more easy to improve?
i can reach my 600 score by improving either on quant from 42 to 47 or on verbal from 25 to 30 (or a mix of both).
regarding my preparation: i worked through all
mgmat quant books,
mgmat sc and kaplan verbal workbook for the rest of the quant.
moreover, i did the
og 13 questions.
many thanks for your help!
