I wasn't expecting much but 400 man that's a punch to the gut. That being said I had not heard of the GMAT up until my advisor convinced me to go to graduate school recently. I just enrolled in the Target program and am hoping I can push that number up away. Bare in mind I'm pretty new to this so I'm not letting that low number discourage me. I'll know more once I start with the program. Lol could use some encouragement from the group.

Many Test Takers are unhappy with their initial practice scores, but you really shouldn't be. That 400 is just a measure of your skills right now - and you'll improve on that result over time as you learn more about the content, Tactics and little 'secrets' of the Exam. When you mentioned "graduate school", are you thinking of an MBA or some other type of degree (such as a Master's Degree of some sort)? I ask because if you're interested in something other than an MBA, then you would likely find the GRE to be an easier Exam than the GMAT.

First off, just remember 400 is your initial practice exam. I realize you are not happy with your score; however, it’s just the beginning, so give yourself a break OK?
