I know the subject line sounds shocking but I want to know if I can score a 615 - 645 on the Gmat Focus in under 30 days?

The Share GMAT Experience subforum could be helpful to check out. May help give a sense how long/likely difference score jumps may be. Maybe some quick tips you can take as well. If you include/mention your section scores, people may provide some specific suggestions as well.

How to score high on the GMAT. Why solving approach is important.

It is hard. Most people improve 130 points with a 2-3 month course.
Unless you really bombed and messed up on the initial test (by leaving some questions unanswered), improving 200 points is something only 5% of people achieve.

Thank you for the info,

Yes I did miss a few questions towards the end of the quants section.

My scores stood at q 64, v 79, d 68.

Ill keep this thread updated in case i do make it to the target score.

PS. When I said miss, I meant missed answering. So if you have indeed missed answering a couple questions, you were starting point is likely higher because there is a heavy penalty for leaving questions unanswered. So your journey is shorter. Your Q score reflects that with Q of only 64. I would say let’s assume a Q74 (conservative) and that would mean your score is 475 now.

You’re still looking for 150 points, Which is quite a bit.... But a lot less than 200.

it’s less impossible but still going to be a very hard task to get that high.

PS. Maybe take the coolant test on GMAT club, you can get a free full one but you can take only the quant portion and see what score you get there if you want to get a more precise quantitative assessment.

This advice is much appreciated,

Ill give a full mock and if turns out any better, ill post that on this thread.

Hi abini,

I also responded to you on another thread, but improving by 200 points is 30 days is a very tall order. I suggest pushing back your GMAT, giving yourself more time to study, and then taking the test when you are truly ready to do so.

Why not push your GMAT and apply in later rounds? Instead of risking another not so good attempt and putting yourself off, why not plan and prepare well before taking another leap? Anyway, best of luck with conquering GMAT!
