Hi everyoneYesterday (25 June) I performed my fourth GMAT, and I will tell you my experience right now. The test center was again in Amsterdam, so I managed to get there the day before and slept at a friend's place. The day after I had the appointment at 12PM (afternoon), I went to the location at 10.30AM so I had sufficient time. This time I wasn't so nervous as before because I also had medicine from the docter against stress (Propranolol). I started the test, and I was feeling confident and ready to beat it. The first two parts (AWA and IR) went smoothly, so before I started with my quant section I was mentally strong and ready for it.
During my quant section I focused on the first six questions, which I answered mostly correct. Then the mid part of the quant section provided me with pretty difficult questions, which I knew were only asked on high level sections. Therefore, I knew I was performing well, and I continued the quant section with a good feeling. Then, the verbal (my most difficult part) section started. I was pretty nervous but fortuntaely I could surpress those feelings well and focus on the exam. During the mid section of the test I got a
Bold Faced question, which gave me a good feeling since these are mostly asked when you're performing well. At the end of the verbal section I got another Bold Faced question, so I knew I had a sufficient score of at least 550.
Then, after filling in the extra info after the test, the big moment arrived where I had been waiting for, for a long time. I pressed continue and then.........................
BAMM a score of
680 popped on the screen!!
I thought I was dreaming, I was so incredibly happy. I immediately called the university's admission office since I was already passed the deadline. The guy working for the admission office told me I could immediately start with my Master program in September, he was very delighted by my score!
After 3 GMAT tries I finally found out, how to tackle the GMAT on my own way and scored a remarkable 680 on the real test!
This was my story. And my recommendation for all of you is that you should keep trying until you achieved what you want. It's not about having a high IQ, but it's about determination and motivation!
Thanks!
Max
