Don't get discouraged by your score after two months of studying. Many people study for a long time, even six month of longer, and still may or may not get a score that they expected. It may be helpful if you could spend some time reading the math forum here. Sometimes it is very important to find the right way to think about a problem. Speed of solving a problem is not really doing your calculations faster, it's more about how you approach a question. If you don't need to take GMAT in a very short of time period, perhaps you should schedule your next test a little later than one month, considering the time you could spend on preparing. The score more or less reflects how well you prepares for the test. You may get a better result if you give yourself a little more time.

I would just call this one a bad day and take a completely fresh approach to studying for the exam. Work on pacing for the Quant section so that time constraints are less of an issue.

Spy,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, but its not the end of the world, you can always take it again. FYI, I had a friend who took the test and scored a dismal 420 the first time around. He was totally discouraged and thought about not going to grad school, but he got his self together and hit the books and scored a 680 the second time around.

I now am studying for the GMAT and I was thinking about taking that Manhattan GMAT course, how do you feel about that is it worth the money?
