STRATEGY: Before deciding upon any approach, let's first scan the answer choices. Here we see that there's a HUGE spread between the numbers, which means we can be VERY aggressive with our estimation.

So, we get: \(\frac{(49*18) + (24*84) - (56*9)}{21} ≈ \frac{(50*20) + (20*100) - (50*10)}{20} ≈ \frac{1000 + 2000 - 500}{20} ≈ \frac{2500}{20} ≈ \frac{250}{2} = 125\)

The only answer choice that's remotely close to 125 is C

Answer: C
