Hi guys,

It is my first post in GMAT. Really happy to meet everyone here.

I am a Vietnamese hoping to further my study is US. My target school is Virginia Tech whose average is 580. My previous scores with real GMAT exam was 530 (44 quant & 21 Verbal). The deadline is Feb 1. So i badly need to retake the test as urgent as possible.

My recent attempts with Gmat Prep fluctuates between 570 - 620(verbal: 25 - 28 ). I am working on the available sources on GMAT Club focusing on the GMAT PREP RC, CR, and SC hoping to improve scores. But still it seems to me that 700+ is another totally different level. I have limited access to the books recommended by club members as I am in Vietnam and it will take quite some time to have those books delivered here. I feel like what i lack is a concrete strategy of GMAT Approach. I tried to look up on GMAT CLUB but times got lost in its massive contents.

What I have now is OG 13th and Cracking the GMAT 2012 by Princeton Reviews. Hope everyone can share with me good soft-copy materials and advice on how to reach high scores (my target is 650 - 700+ ) in short times. I am considering courses online such as E-Gmat,... Do you recommend it ? I have asked for 2 months leave for full time study.

And a few days ago a friend shares with me these tests, These are medium-high level test sets on math. I also have another 5 for Verbal posted in the Verbal area. Have fun practicing.

Warmest regards,

Hi nguyenthanhhongphuc,

Thanks for posting these math tests... those are from 800score,aren't they?
well, we both share the same verbal score, what are your plans to tackle that?
I too have my GMAT 2nd attempt on 27th Jan 2013, so need to score good before the third round deadlines.

Hi daviesj ,

Yes they are. I have 5 for Verbal. I will have them posted shortly.

My plan at the moment is
- to tackle all the GMAT Prep Downloads available in the Gmat Club downloads, which has 180+ for SC, 163 for RC and 200+ questions for CR. and make sure i understand each of them perfectly. I did them 20 questions each set at a time then marked. Then i analyzed each one carefully. After that i deleted all the questions i got right and restart again with the wrong.
- watch free videos from websites such as Magoosh, Egmat... I am not sure whether i should buy egmat. Still some if the videos are very usefully.
- my Bibles at the moment are Gmat grammar and math book from Gmat club and the OG 13.

i am not pretty sure if i am the right track

How about you ? Look forward to hearing from u
