If you can get a V40+, you may get 600+ with a decent accuracy on Easy and Medium level questions. A Q35, for example, should put you at or around 620.

Hi l0ki,

I think you can (just about) get to your target score with a Q30, because your verbal scores are really good. That said, you're most likely capable of getting a quant score significantly higher than 30. Maybe spend more time on quant and set your sights on high 600s/700+?

Hi l0ki,

There are a variety of different Quant and Verbal Score 'combinations' that will earn you a 600+ Score - and if you can consistently score in the V40+ range, then you do not need to correctly answer any of the Quant questions that you think are too hard or too weird (but you do have to keep the little mistakes to a minimum on everything else - especially the 'gettable' questions).

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) Do you have an exact goal score? Is a 600 the 'minimum requirement' for a Program that you are interested in (and by extension, is there a minimum requirement for the Quant Scaled Score?)?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

In my first mock, I had similar ranges of scores to yours. Then, I worked with manhattan prep strategy guides for concepts. I think you can work with easy and medium level OG problems and go through the video solutions from the link below:

Hi l0ki,

I have an important question. Does your quant study plan revolve around mostly doing practice questions?

Some people do as well in the real GMAT as in their practice tests, or even better. But many do worse. This is almost expected, because the real exam comes with more stress (for most people).
My point is that it will be better to aim for perhaps 650+. Even if there is a drop from consistent practice test scores of 660-670, you will still be in the 600+ range.

l0ki
quant scores were 31, 28 and 30.
It's not that difficult to score 35+ or 40 in quant.
To continue with my point of "aim higher than you need" --- yes, it will be better if you are able to do many 600+ questions (a large proportion)
