Dear All,
I've been practicing for the GMAT for about two months now. The first time I took the test I got a score of 430. Today, I got a score of 580. This is largely due to my improvement in the quantitative section (on which I still score lower than on the verbal section). I've been working from one book alone (Official GMAT Review, 13th edition) and have focused almost only on he quantitative section as this is what I knew I'd have most issues with. (I study History of Art and the Verbal Section relates closely to me degree to a certain extent, therefore my general course work is similar to studying for the Verbal section.) Last time I took the test however, I got a very similar score of 560. This was about two weeks ago. I must admit that I haven't done much for the past few weeks, but I can't deny that I feel like I have reached a plateau. Although this is mostly mental, I am still going to ask for advice on how to push my score constantly to over 600 with one month to go until the official exam, as this is the minimum requirement of the Universities I'm applying to.
Should I purchase a new (online) source for studying?
Should I take one-one-one tutoring?
How do I make sure I don't go down in score as I'm starting to feel less motivated to push myself to do the exercises every day
Should I focus one doing mostly practice tests two weeks prior to the exam?
Any other advice would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Herbert van Litsenburg
