Hi,
I gave my gmat today and scored a mere 580. Having prepared for around 6 months, I guess this score represents my failure. Some of my mistakes are as below
1. Lack of Mocks: Gave only 3 mocks in my prep and scored only 580 max and after that I though giving mocks is a waste of time and instead though that practising from different sources was good option.
2. Lack of Consistency: I used to practise the problems from gmatprep, og, egmat, veritas prep in different time interval. Also covered egmat course but I guess it didn't help
3. Lack of Reading: I just read a bit of newspapers and articles.
4. Maybe, Overconfidence
Questions
1. Do I still have a chance to attempt for mba in 2016 considering I am looking for scholarships as I couldn't sponsor the amount of money that mba from abroad asks for.
My Profile
1. Nit Passout in Civil Engineering with an experience of 4 years in project management.

Dear
manshul1807I'm happy to respond.
My friend, what you need to understand is that I am GMAT expert, someone who can tell you a lot about the test and how & what to study and etc. I am NOT an admission consultant, and I know relatively little about the kinds of applications that get accepted, win scholarships, etc. I have no expertise to answer such questions.
I don't know your time frame, but from what you say, it sounds as if you have a lot of room for improvement.
Here's a three-month plan that could help you:
https://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/3-month-gm ... l-focused/Here's a blog I think you need to read if you want to bring up that verbal score:
https://magoosh.com/gmat/2014/how-to-imp ... bal-score/Finally, I will say: remember that the attitude of an excellence student is that there is always more to learn. A superficial students looks at a topic, such as exponents or parallelism, and say, "I know that already. I am done." The excellent student is always curious: "OK, I already understand quite a bit about this, but what else could I learn? How could I understand more deeply?" The excellent student never considers himself "done" with anything. If you can get into that "always learning" mindset, then you will be able to absorb much more information. For more on this, see:
