I started my quest for conquering GMAT in Jan 2015 after failing in Indian B School Exams . Gave GMAT for around 3 times and scored 590, 630 & 600 ( Q 48 V 24 ) ( gave on 30 Dec 15 ) . I gave few mocks and scored ranged from 590-720. Even after giving the latest gmat , I am not sure where am I lacking. I am pretty much sure that I cannot make in to a B School by 2016 but I just don’t want to quit at this point.
Hi manshul1807,
You are pretty late for the 2016 intake and you might not be able to apply in the R2 of schools.
R3 gets very competitive and it would be better if you prepared well for the GMAT and then applied for R1 for the 2017 intake.
Answer to the following questions can help us assess your situation in a better way:
1. When did you take the previous two attempts of GMAT? What were your score break ups?
2. Did you solve the Official Guide and Verbal Review completely?
3. Did you take the Mock CATs including the AWA and IR?
4. Did you retake any of the Mocks?
5. Did you go through any preparatory course?
You can gain some easy points in the Verbal section by focusing on some fundamentals and concepts.
I would advice you to prepare for 2 months at least and then retake the GMAT.
