Hi,
I just got back from taking the test. I am very disappointed with the scores, and I am now having some doubts about the accuracy of the scores (aren't we all).
Before I go on, let me say that I have never taken the practice test all at once with the time limit allotted for the breaks. So my practice scores might had been misleading. But the latest 3 times that I took the practice test, my Q scores were 42, 47, 48, and my verbal scores were 39, 42, 44. The weakest part of my verbal was the SC, but I thought that I had improved alot. As a matter of fact, my 1st verbal practice test (without studies) was a 35.
My actual scores were 38Q, 34V. I just don't know how that happened.
I specifically remembered 3 probability/combination questions that I encountered around the 20th question group on the actual test, 1 of which was a DS type question. There was just a ridiculous string of 5-6 DS questions in a row, and several number properties questions at the very end that I guessed. There were also a "union" and "intersect" DS question near the very end. I was so happy to see the probability questions, and I gained so much assurance that my math score would be in the 40's. I was shocked and bewildered to see a 38 math score, because from the practice tests and from others on this forum, those types of questions are hard and they appear only when the scores are high.
I guess I will have to review and take the test and look out for trap questions, but I am still lost trying to explain how I could have seen the probability questions and still scored only 38 on math.
