Hello.. I just need to vent a bit..
just got back from the testing center..
got a 600 with a 35 quant and a 38 verbal..
This is my second attempt..my first attempt was a 550.
I don't think I have the drive to take it again since I want to start applying. I got a 6.0 on my AWA and I expect to get the same score again..
I'm hoping I have a fighting shot at the near elite frontier cluster (wake forest, georgia tech).. i just hope my overall score doesn't knock me out right away.
I've only got 3 years of project management experience at a large southern regional bank and mediocre grades.. so I was really pushing for at least a 650..
Can someone cheer me up?.. Thanks!

cheer up buddy. 
600 is still a good score - you outperformed 70% of the GMAT world.
do you feel that this score represents your ability, or were you scoring higher on your practice exams? looks like your verbal is great. could you study some more and boost up the quant score? or would you say that quant is not your strongpoint in general?

I was scoring in the low 40s to mid 40s on my quant practice tests... but in my two real tests.. I scored low..
I've got a computer science degree but unfortunately I can't translate that into performing under pressure..
I'm thinking about enrolling in a couple of quant-type classes at a local college here..
