Hey everyone,
I hope all is well! I need some guidance from fellow forum members. I wrote the exam today and scored a 610 Q47 V27. I was disappointed but at the same time happy. The last time I wrote the exam I scored a 590 (Q35 V35). I improved my Quant thanks to Target Test Prep; I completed 70% of the course and still managed to score Q47. The only challenge during the Quant section of the test for me was timing (I had to guess the last three questions or so). However, I am disappointed in my Verbal score. I am not sure where to go from here. I went from a V35 to V27. When I scored V35 I did not memorize any specific grammar rules for SC nor any specific rules for CR. I relied on meaning only and attempted each question trying to thoroughly understand meaning. My ESR for the 590 GMAT Score showed that I scored a 90th percentile in RC (due to luck possibly) and 73rd percentile in SC while the CR was horrible (I believe at or below 50%). This time around, I relied on meaning again (I have read the Manhattan SC book and I have a general understanding of grammar rules). During the test, I was not confident at all with SC and CR. I have practiced SC with completing all of the OG 2019 SC Questions. For me, I am finding that most of the questions (75%) in OG 2019 the right answer stands out. My accuracy for OG 2019 SC is about high 70s-low 80%.However, during the exam today, for SC I was narrowing the answers to 2 choices and struggling from there on. More so, for CR and RC I have been using the LSAT books to prepare. I have been struggling with CR for a very long time now; for some reason I am not able to use logic to understand how to arrive at the correct answer and it takes me such a long time to complete 1 CR question. When studying for CR, any of the questions that I got wrong I searched up the correct answers to find out WHY the answer was right and why the answer I chose was wrong. I know there is a forum member here that specified to use BlindReview for CR, which is what I did. I am not too sure where to go from here for Verbal. During the exam today, with about 10 minutes left I was at question 26 and had to guess plenty of the last questions. Anyone have any recommendations of what to study or how to study Verbal? I understand that there is no magic pill and I am willing to put the work in. I plan to re-write the exam in a month. I was scoring anywhere from 34-40 on Verbal on Practice CATS (with guessing the last 6-7 questions). I think I may have gotten lucky with my past verbal score and with my verbal scores on practice CATS because today proved it to me that I need to improve verbal.

Secondly, I am so happy to hear that you have been applying meaning-based approach to solve SC questions. Given where you are at - 73 percentile - you need to cement your methods in SC. I can see why you are struggling with making a choice between the last two choices in SC questions. If you cement your methods well enough, you will be able to improve fro, 73 percentile to > 85 percentile easily. I suggest you review this video in which I explain how to do Stage 2 in Sentence Correction.
So that takes care of SC.
Now let's look at CR. Reviewing your post, I can conclude that you do not have a structured method to solve CR questions. Accordingly, you need to learn and embrace the pre-thinking approach. Look at Jim's debrief in which he explains how he internalized pre-thinking approach. Not only that, one of the students read his debrief and got further convinction into the pre-thinking process and scored a V40. See his post here. Once you are convinced that pre-thinking is required to ace CR, view this video in which I explain how you should prepare for CR.
I have shared a lot of information with you here. Take your time to absorb the same and feel free to ask any specific questions that may have.
