This probably be won't the most useful response, but one of my old roommates/close friends finished a Masters in Accounting at UT-Austin in 2010. He scored a 640 on the GMAT and was originally wait-listed, but obviously he eventually got in off of the wait-list. However, he had an impeccable gpa (3.94) from a fairly highly ranked undergrad economics program, but he felt that the one reason why he was originally wait-listed was due to his GMAT score.
