I just took the GMAT and scored a 620 (Q35, V40).
I have a Bsc. in Economics with a decent GPA, so I'm not completely clueless when it comes to numbers (I thought).
In total i studied about 3 weeks for the GMAT. I began by doing some OG verbal questions. After getting the big majority of them correct right away I decided not to devote any time to verbal besides reading the Aristotle SC Grail thing (which in my oppinion is a really good, covers pretty much everything). Although I'm not a native speaker of the English language I find GMAT verbal isn't really that hard.
SO i practiced only quant for the whole 3 weeks (which I know, isn't a lot but still..). First I read through the Kaplan Premier part on quant, then I went through all the Manhattan GMAT books. Finally I did the OG problems and solved most of them without problems. With two days left I started taking mock exams. Shockingly my quant performance turned out to be abysmal. All my tests (MGMAT and GMATPrep ranged from V39-42 and V38-41). Here i should note that i found the MGMAT CATs to be as good as GMATPrep as an indicator for your preformance on the real thing.
There's obviously a huge gap between my quant and my verbal performance. I seem to have trouble solving quant problems under pressure and with the time constraint. Addtionally i screwed up at the end of the quant section and got timed out which probably cost me some points. Anyway, you guys have any suggestion to get my quant up to like 45 in a month? I'd be greatful.

You can boost your score in Quant easily. Get a GMAT math Tutor and with hard work, you could get Q44-47. Go through OG 11 and 12 again and do/understand all the questions until you have the them basically memorized. Exhaust GMAT prep tests under timed conditions until you can your scoring 45+ in Q consistantly . Even just do the Quant and skip the Verbal. This is good to manage the pressure of the actual timed exam. And do all the corrections and understand why you did them wrong.
If you want you could go through GMAT club tests, Jeff Saksman MAth and the MAnhattan CAT's. These questions are harder than the actual GMAT but doing them makes actual GMAT questions easier because you have to know more than the basics to solve the questions.
Verbal is the hardest the to increase, but your already scoring above 90%. You can easily surpass 700 with a few months of Quant dedication. BTW, how was the verbal section in the actual GMAT compared to the practice material?
