Hi All,
Really appreciate the great website. So I just finished taking my GMAT and i received a 730 (Q50 V40). I just wanted to do a quick debrief because i know i appreciated reading the debriefs of others. So i started studying for the GMAT about a year ago. I spent about three months studying; my practice tests were in the 680 - 720 range so as you can imagine i was very disappointed to receive a 650. I then spent another 3 months studying and when i took that test i didnt finish the last few questions of the quant section so i decided to cancel my score. I then spent another 4 months studying and took the test today and hit my ideal score, a 730.
Manhattan 1 - 680
Manhattan 2 - 710
Manhattan 3 - 720
Manhattan 4 - 730
Manhattan 5 - 760
Manhattan 6 - 730
GMAT Prep 1 - 710
GMAT Prep 2 - 720
GMAT Prep 1 (Retake) - 760
GMAT Club tests (1-17) averaged about 30 out of 37 (I paid little attention to the percentile)
As for study material, i did all the Manhattan Quant guides and the SC guide (highly recommended)
I did the all the
OG problems (obviously recommended)
In my last two months I did 17 of the GMATCLUB Quant tests (Highly recommended and under appreciated)
So now I have a few questions for the community.
1) How much will my 650 score and my cancellation bring down the quality of my 730 score?
a) From what ive read schools only take top score, but its hard for me to imagine that my 730 is equiv to someone who hit it the first time.
2) With my background, (Graduated with a 3.7 from top 25 school with a degree in economics, four years of experience working in a corporate treasury function for a fortune 200 company), what are my chances of getting into a top school (Harvard, UChicago, Penn, ect.)
All comments and feedback is appreciated.
If anyone has any questions in regards to my GMAT experience I am happy to answer.
