Hello everyone. Well, I took the GMAT earlier today and scored a 660 (47Q, 34V). I don't really know what to say, other than that I'm satisfied with my score. I'm not applying to any of the top-5 or even top-10 programs.
Today, I was the first person at the test center. My test was scheduled for 8:00 am. Last night, I reviewed my math notes and my sentence correction notes briefly before I went to bed at 8:00 pm. I was extremely nervous today. I put a lot of time into studying, and didn't want to leave that test center with anything below 650. One the last practice exam that I took 5 days ago (GMAT Prep software), I received a 620. This was a little bit disheartening as I received a 590 on March 12th. To only go up 30 points after an extra 2 months of studying was disappointing. So going into the test center today, I kept thinking I would get lower than 620, but tried to calm myself down by thinking of other things.
The Quant section on the actual exam seemed hard, but not as hard as gmatclub's quant questions or manhattan's quant questions. On the gmatclub's quant exams, I never got higher than 15/37 when completing the exam on time. I did receive 18/37 when completing the test in study mode. I believe gmatclub's quant questions as well as manhattan's quant questions made the actual exam easier. I never received higher than a 43 on the quant section of the Manhattan Exams. Seeing that 47 for quant on the actual exam made me smile.
The Verbal section, particularly the sentence correction portion - a portion that I felt comfortable with - seemed extremely hard. I was not expecting to get that low of a score on the Verbal.
