Hey!
I have been preparing for two and half months now,
I have taken several mocks recently
manhattan - 680 q48v35
kaplan- 710 q48v39
veritas- 690 q50v35

I have observed a decline or no improvement in test score while taking gmac mocks

680, 700, 680, 680 and today 660(Q49v30)

I have a feeling that the difficulty level of questions is increasing with each Gmac mock test. Is this just my feeling or is this true?
For example, I believe quant is my strong area, but in the latest mock, the second question was a very time consuming one and there are several time consuming calculations, which didn't happen in any mock before.
The number of questions I have answered correct in verbal has been increasing too. I know the number of questions doesn't matter as much as the difficulty of the questions, but what I feel is there should be an increase in difficulty of questions when I have answered some set of question correctly in a streak, which looks like it didn't happen. Also, the errors in verbal are more distributed now as I am trying to compensate time by guessing as well.

I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I have my test day after tomorrow and tomorrow is the last day for my prep and I don't want to reschedule. Any suggestion from your side will be of immense help.

PS: my initial mock score was really low and I have put in a lot of time and hardwork to get to a range of 700. I really want to finish it with a good score.

You talk about your quant performance, but in my view, you should be more concerned about your scores in the verbal sections. There is consistent showing that your verbal performance is inadequate to achieve a 700 or 700+ score.

It is possible that in the short few months you have been preparing, you were able to improve your quant ability, but your verbal has either worsened or stagnated.

Verbal section will require more than two or three days to develop. My sense is that your actual score will reflect the same scores that you achieved in your official mocks and the other ones.

Quant has always been in 49,50,51

I have worked on verbal all these days.. Initially it was in 25-28 range and now I usually get 30-35
Any last min tips and material that you could suggest to improve a bit more?

I like that you're being honest
So I will be honest too

To get to a range of 700, you need to work smartly, let go of questions that take more than 4 mins to solve.
When you let go, you get an easier question and you can still pace yourself to get a Q49

What was your split in each of the GMAC tests?
Have you repeated some questions?

GMAC mocks split
Q50V32 - 680
Q50V31 - 680
Q50V34 - 700
Q51V31 - 680
Q49V30 - 660

Honestly, since your test is in just a few days, you should not try to cram. Just do the best you can, and if things don't go your way, reach back out and we can discuss a longer-term plan. Good luck!
