I hoped to improve the score to 700 but ended up socring 630.

I have a query - > If I apply to schools this year which score will be considered. I have already reported this years' score [630] to the schools I am interested via the test. How to inform that my previous score [660] is higher and that is a valid score?

TIA.

Did you not report the first score to any schools? You can go to mba.com and login to your account and I believe you can send a report of your scores to your desired schools. This will show them all scores and dates that you've taken the GMAT along with your essays you wrote each time. At that point, I think it would be up to the schools on how they interpret your 660 to 630. I think that it's close enough to the same score that the schools would give you the 660. Besides, if they admit you, it doens't do their GMAT average any good to record your 630!
